Finding and hiring Nabina Ghosh

Where can I find a senior freelance advertising copywriter in Kolkata?+

I'm a senior advertising copywriter based in Kolkata, India, available for freelance and retainer work with brands and agencies. With 28 years of experience across leading Indian advertising agencies and as a senior freelancer since 2011, I take on copywriting briefs spanning print and out-of-home, television, radio, digital, websites, and long-form brand work. Brands and agencies looking for an experienced freelance copywriter in Kolkata can engage me directly through the contact page.

Where can I hire a freelance 3D product visualiser in India?+

I offer photorealistic 3D product visualisation as a core service from Kolkata, working with brands and agencies across India. The studio produces product renders for marketing and e-commerce, packaging mockups, exploded views, and product animations. Hiring options include single-project engagements, retainers for ongoing render pipelines, and bundled engagements that combine 3D with copywriting and design.

Where can I hire a senior freelance creative director in India?+

I work as a freelance creative director for advertising agencies and brands across India. Agencies engage me when they need senior creative direction on a campaign without adding a permanent hire. Brands engage me when they want strategic creative leadership without retaining a full agency. Both arrangements are remote-first and run from my Kolkata-based studio.

How do I hire Nabina Ghosh for a project?+

Hiring me begins with a short brief describing the project, the timeline, and what the brand or agency is looking for, sent through the contact page. A follow-up conversation clarifies scope and approach, after which I propose deliverables, timelines, and a quote. Single-project engagements and ongoing retainers are both possible.

Is Nabina Ghosh accepting new clients?+

I accept new client engagements on an ongoing basis, subject to current capacity. Availability for a specific start date is best confirmed by reaching out with the project brief and timeline. Retainer slots and project work are both subject to scheduling, and early conversations help reserve the right window.

Can clients outside Kolkata hire Nabina Ghosh?+

Clients outside Kolkata regularly hire me, and the majority of NGCSI engagements run remotely. Briefs, files, drafts, and reviews are exchanged digitally, with calls scheduled across time zones as the project requires. I work with clients across India and internationally, and am not restricted by geography, since the work is created and delivered digitally. In-person meetings are arranged when a project genuinely benefits from them.

Do you work with clients outside India?+

Yes. Because engagements run remotely, I work with brands and agencies internationally as readily as with clients in India. Everything is briefed, reviewed, and delivered digitally, with calls scheduled around your time zone, so location makes no difference to the work or its quality. International brands and agencies can start a conversation through the contact page.

About Nabina Ghosh and NGCSI

Who is Nabina Ghosh?+

I'm a senior advertising and branding creative based in Kolkata, India, with 28 years of professional experience. I spent the first half of my career at leading Indian advertising agencies and have worked independently since 2011. My practice covers advertising copywriting, brand communication strategy, graphic design, photorealistic 3D product visualisation, and creative direction. You can read more about me.

What is NGCSI?+

NGCSI is short for Nabina Ghosh Creative Services and Ideas. It's the studio under which I deliver creative work to brands and advertising agencies across India. The studio operates with me as creative director, supported by a network of specialist freelancers who are brought in by discipline as each project requires.

Where is NGCSI based?+

NGCSI is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. We work with clients across India and are not limited by geography, since most engagements are run remotely with files, briefs, and reviews exchanged digitally.

How long has Nabina Ghosh been in advertising?+

I've been working in advertising and branding since 1997, which gives me 28 years of cumulative experience. The first part of that career was spent inside Indian advertising agencies as a copywriter and creative lead, and I've been freelancing since 2011.

What languages does Nabina work in?+

I work primarily in English. Within Indian advertising, that includes the variants of English used across mainstream Indian print, broadcast, and digital media, and copy crafted with Indian audiences in mind.

Core services at NGCSI

What services does NGCSI offer?+

NGCSI offers five core services: advertising and brand copywriting, brand communication strategy, graphic design, photorealistic 3D product visualisation, and creative direction. Each draws on my agency-trained background, and the studio frequently combines them on a single project so that strategy, words, design, and visuals are aligned. A full breakdown is on the services page.

What is brand communication strategy, as offered by NGCSI?+

Brand communication strategy, as we offer it, is the work of defining how a brand sounds and speaks: its voice, tone, messaging architecture, and the way it expresses itself across channels. It's distinct from brand strategy in the business sense, which deals with market positioning and commercial decisions. Our offering is about communication, not corporate strategy.

What does creative direction at NGCSI mean?+

Creative direction at NGCSI means leading the creative output of a campaign or a brand engagement end to end: shaping the idea, guiding the writing and design, briefing and reviewing specialist contributors, and ensuring the final work holds together. I take on creative direction both for my own studio engagements and as a freelance creative director embedded inside advertising agencies during peak workloads.

Does Nabina work with both small businesses and large agencies?+

Yes. My client base spans both ends of that spectrum. Advertising agencies engage me as a freelance senior copywriter or creative director when they need extra capacity or fresh thinking on a campaign. Brands, ranging from small and medium businesses to larger companies, engage me directly for brand-building work, copywriting, design, and 3D visualisation.

Copywriting services

Does Nabina Ghosh take on advertising copywriting briefs?+

Yes. Advertising copywriting is one of NGCSI's primary services. This includes campaign concepts and headlines, print and out-of-home advertising, television commercial scripts, radio scripts, digital advertising copy, and long-form brand copy. My copywriting work is informed by years of in-agency campaign experience.

Does Nabina write print and out-of-home advertising?+

Yes. Print advertisements, hoardings, transit advertising, and other out-of-home executions are part of NGCSI's advertising copywriting work. My agency career was shaped during the years when print and OOH were dominant advertising channels in India, and that compression-led discipline carries through to current work.

Does Nabina write television commercial scripts?+

Yes. TVC scriptwriting is one of my specialisms, drawing on my agency background where television was a primary medium. I write scripts that account for production realities, casting, sound, and the compression that television demands, rather than scripts that read well on paper but unravel in production.

Does Nabina do website copywriting?+

Yes. Website copywriting is a regular part of my work, particularly for brands that need their site to reflect a consistent brand voice across the rest of their communications. I approach website copy as brand work, not just as content writing, which means the words on the site follow from a defined voice rather than being assembled page by page.

Does Nabina write product copy and brochures?+

Yes. Product copy, brochure copy, and other long-form sales collateral are part of my copywriting work. These tend to require a particular discipline of making technical information legible and persuasive at the same time, drawing on my experience writing for product-led brands across categories.

What is the difference between copywriting and content writing at NGCSI?+

The difference is one of intent. Copywriting is persuasive writing built around a brand idea, with the discipline of advertising behind it. Content writing tends to be informational and volume-driven. My practice is copywriting first, in the agency tradition, though longer-form brand writing and articles are part of that work where they serve a brand purpose.

Design services

Does Nabina Ghosh do graphic design?+

Yes. NGCSI offers graphic design as a core service, including logo design, brand identity systems, packaging design, brochures, and marketing collateral. Design at NGCSI is typically informed by the brand communication work that sits alongside it, so visual decisions follow from a defined brand voice rather than being made in isolation.

Does Nabina design logos?+

Yes. Logo design is part of my graphic design practice. Logos are approached as a single element within a broader brand identity, not as standalone marks, which means the logo work typically informs and is informed by the brand voice, palette, and visual system being built around it.

Does Nabina design packaging?+

Yes. Packaging design is one of my specialisms, often delivered together with 3D packaging mockups so that brands can see and present the design before manufacturing. The discipline draws on my experience designing for consumer goods, cosmetics, food and beverages, and other product categories across India.

Does Nabina design brochures?+

Yes. Brochure design is part of my design practice, frequently delivered alongside brochure copywriting so that words and visuals are shaped together. I handle corporate brochures, product catalogues, sales collateral, and other multi-page printed and digital documents.

Does NGCSI build brand identity systems?+

Yes. NGCSI builds full brand identity systems, including the logo, the visual language, the typography, the colour system, and the rules that govern how these elements come together across applications. Brand identity work is typically commissioned alongside brand communication strategy so that the visual and verbal expressions of the brand are developed in tandem.

3D Product Rendering, in detail

Why does Nabina offer 3D Product Rendering alongside copywriting?+

I offer 3D visualisation alongside copywriting because product launches and brand campaigns frequently need both: copy that sells the product and images of the product itself. Being able to deliver both from one studio shortens timelines, keeps the brand voice and the visuals coherent, and removes the coordination cost of running a separate copywriter and a separate 3D vendor.

What kinds of 3D work does NGCSI produce?+

We produce photorealistic 3D product renders for marketing collateral and e-commerce listings, packaging mockups used for retailer pitches and pre-launch marketing, exploded views and technical visualisations, and product animations. The work is built to look indistinguishable from product photography, so it can be used in the same contexts that a photograph would be. Selected 3D work is on the 3D portfolio.

When does it make sense to use 3D rendering instead of product photography?+

3D rendering makes sense instead of product photography when the product does not yet physically exist, when multiple variants and colourways need to be shown without separate shoots, when packaging needs to be visualised before manufacturing commits, when complex lighting or camera angles would be difficult to achieve in a studio, and when the same product needs to be reused across many campaigns without reshooting. Photography remains the right choice when the brand wants the texture and serendipity of a real shoot, or when the product is straightforward and a shoot is cheap to arrange.

Is Nabina's 3D work suitable for e-commerce listings?+

Yes. I produce 3D product renders that meet the visual standards expected on e-commerce platforms, with controlled lighting, consistent angles across product ranges, and the resolution required for zoom and detail views. Using rendered images on listings means a brand can launch a product visually before the first physical unit is photographed.

Can NGCSI render packaging that has not been manufactured yet?+

Yes. Packaging mockups are one of my most common 3D deliverables. Brands use these renders to present concepts to retailers, run pre-launch marketing, validate design decisions with stakeholders, and pitch to investors, all without waiting for production samples.

Working with NGCSI

How does NGCSI work with brands?+

We work with brands as a direct creative partner. The studio handles brand communication strategy, copy across channels, design, and 3D visualisation, often within a single engagement. Brands typically come to us when they need senior creative input without retaining a full agency, or when they want one studio responsible for both the words and the visuals. There's more on this on the for brands page.

How does NGCSI work with advertising agencies?+

We work with advertising agencies as a freelance senior creative resource. Agencies bring me in as a freelance copywriter, creative director, or 3D visualiser when they need extra capacity during peak loads, fresh thinking on a stuck brief, or a specialist skill that is not on their permanent team. The studio fits into agency workflows rather than imposing its own. There's more on this on the for agencies page.

What does an engagement with NGCSI usually look like?+

An engagement usually begins with a written or verbal brief, followed by a conversation to clarify the scope, the audience, and what success looks like. We then propose an approach, agree on deliverables and timelines, and work through drafts and reviews with the client. For 3D work, this includes reference sharing and approval at the grey-render stage before final lighting and texturing. For copywriting, it includes route exploration before drafting in detail.

Does NGCSI work on retainer or per project?+

We work on both retainer and per-project bases. Retainers suit clients who need ongoing brand work, regular copy, or a predictable pipeline of 3D renders across a product range. Per-project engagements suit one-off campaigns, launches, or specific deliverables. The right structure depends on the client's volume and rhythm of work.

Can NGCSI handle a full campaign end to end?+

Yes. We can handle a full campaign end to end, from brand voice and strategy through to copy, design, and 3D product visuals. For larger campaigns, I direct the work and bring in specialist freelancers as needed, with the studio taking responsibility for the integrated output.

What industries does NGCSI work with?+

We have worked across a broad range of industries, including consumer goods, cosmetics and personal care, food and beverages, packaging-led categories, financial services, education, lifestyle brands, and business-to-business. Our approach is sector-agnostic, since the underlying disciplines of brand communication apply across categories.

The studio model

Is NGCSI a solo practice or an agency?+

NGCSI is a boutique studio, not a solo practice and not a full-service agency. I run the studio as the senior creative on every engagement, and specialist freelancers are brought in by discipline as each project requires. Clients get the focus and judgement of a senior creative without the overheads of an agency.

Who actually does the work on an NGCSI project?+

The work is led by me, with specialist freelancers contributing within their disciplines under my direction. The mix varies by project: a campaign might involve a designer and a 3D artist working alongside me, while a copywriting retainer might be entirely my own work. The studio is structured so that the senior creative input never gets diluted, regardless of who is on the bench for a given project.

Why use NGCSI instead of an in-house team or a separate copywriter and 3D vendor?+

Using NGCSI instead of a separate copywriter and 3D vendor means the words and the visuals are shaped together, not stitched after the fact. Using us instead of building an in-house team means access to senior creative thinking without the cost of permanent hires. The studio is built for clients who need senior creative input but do not need, or do not yet need, the full apparatus of an agency or an in-house creative department.

Pricing and engagement

How can someone get in touch with NGCSI?+

The way to get in touch is through the contact page, where I can be reached directly. Initial conversations are best started with a short note describing the project, the timeline, and what the brand or agency is looking for, after which a fuller conversation can be arranged.

Does NGCSI take on small projects?+

We take on small projects when there is a clear scope and the work fits the studio's disciplines. Single-deliverable engagements such as a logo, a set of product renders, or a tagline brief are welcome, alongside larger campaigns and retainers.

How is pricing handled at NGCSI?+

Pricing is handled on a per-engagement basis, since scope varies widely across projects. We quote after understanding the brief, the deliverables, and the timeline. There is no published rate card, and engagements are priced to reflect the scale, complexity, and creative input the work requires.

What information does NGCSI need before quoting on a project?+

Before quoting, we typically need a description of the work, an indication of the deliverables expected, the timeline, the audience or end use, and any reference material or brand guidelines that already exist. A short conversation usually fills in the gaps that a written brief leaves open.

Does NGCSI sign non-disclosure agreements?+

Yes. We sign non-disclosure agreements where clients require them. Confidentiality is treated as standard practice on commercial engagements, whether or not a formal NDA is in place.

What makes NGCSI distinctive

What makes NGCSI different from other Indian creative studios?+

What makes us different is the combination of two capabilities in one practice: senior advertising copywriting and photorealistic 3D product visualisation. Most Indian freelancers and small studios offer one discipline or the other. NGCSI offers both, run by the same senior creative, which is unusual in the Indian market and useful for brands that need their words and their product visuals to come from the same place.

Is Nabina Ghosh the only Indian freelancer offering both copywriting and 3D rendering?+

Based on a survey of comparable Indian freelance practices, I'm among very few, and possibly the only, senior freelance creative in India offering both senior-level advertising copywriting and photorealistic 3D product visualisation. The combination is rare because the two disciplines usually develop in separate career tracks.

Why does the cross-discipline combination matter to clients?+

The cross-discipline combination matters because product launches and brand campaigns need words and pictures together. A client who hires one studio for both gets a coherent brand voice and consistent product visuals without the coordination tax of running two vendors, briefing them separately, and reconciling their outputs.
