What happened to the rest of the plank…

So, the plank that helped make the little box had a little more of itself left. Or, actually, quite some more. So I fashioned them into these coasters. The coffee swirls were inspired by my eternal love for coffee. But then the coasters needed a home, and the plank had been maxed out.
So I sourced my own wood for the first time ever. From where? From the floor about me, from the pile of wood discarded by the carpenters working on my sofa. And made the coaster holder.
I remember spending so much time rounding the edges because the rounder I made them, the better they looked to me. Am a huge fan of either razor-sharp edges or extremely rounded ones. Took all my self-restraint not to turn them into circles!
Very pleased with the result, and not wanting to give up on carpentry just yet, the tray followed. Wanted to make a tray whose form had to be simple but something even I had not seen before. This was the result, and I was happy.
What do you think?
Go back to my carpentry?
