Advertising and Design Portfolio

Nabina Ghosh. 28+ years of work. A selection of the highlights.

This portfolio represents nearly three decades of creative work by Nabina Ghosh – advertising campaigns, brand identities, packaging, films, and more. Some of it was created at agencies, some directly with brands, and some as part of my independent practice since around 2011.

What you’ll find here is a cross-section of the work I’m most proud of, organised by discipline. It’s not everything (that would be overwhelming for both of us) but it should give you a clear sense of how I think, what I make or do, and the range of challenges I’ve taken on over the years. Here are the creative services that I currently offer to businesses and agencies.

If you’re looking for something specific or want to discuss how this experience might apply to your project, I’m always happy to talk.

Advertising

The core of my career lies in advertising campaigns designed to capture attention, communicate clearly, and persuade people to act. This work spans traditional media (print, outdoor, television, radio, etc.) and digital/social media across categories from FMCG to financial services and almost everything in between.

Print and Outdoor Advertising

Press ads, magazine spreads, billboards, transit advertising, and point-of-sale materials. The discipline of print advertising, where every word and visual element has to earn its place, demands clarity in thinking as well as an eye for detail.

Television Commercials

TV scripts and concepts across categories and styles – from humour to emotion to on-the-face product demonstrations. Television remains one of the most demanding formats. You have seconds to connect, and the craft required to do it well is considerable. Experience and exposure matter immensely.

Radio and Jingle Scripting

Audio advertising – radio spots, jingles, and sonic branding. Writing for the ear is different from writing for the eye. Without visuals to rely on, the words and sounds have to do all the work. I find this constraint creatively rewarding.

Graphic Design

Beyond advertising, I’ve created brand identities, packaging, and visual systems for businesses across sectors. This work tends to be more foundational – the visual assets that everything else builds upon.

Packaging and Logo Design

Logos, packaging design, and brand identity elements. These are the pieces that represent a brand in its most concentrated form – a mark, a label, a box. Getting them right requires both strategic thinking and craft.

3D Visualisation

Photorealistic product renders, packaging mockups, environment visualisations, and animated content. 3D has become an increasingly important part of my practice – a way to visualise products and concepts that might not yet exist, or to create imagery that would be impractical to photograph.

Film and Audio

Some projects don’t fit neatly into advertising or design categories. These are pieces where I’ve had a more expansive role – scripting, animating, editing, or engineering the sound.

Concept Films

Films I’ve scripted, animated, and edited – often for internal communications, pitch presentations, or experimental projects. These combine storytelling, visual craft, and technical execution in ways that pure advertising work doesn’t always allow.

Font Design

Yes, I’ve designed my own fonts. This started as a personal interest and became something I now use in client work when appropriate. Typography is a deep discipline, a science as much as it is an art, and creating fonts from scratch teaches you things about letterforms that using existing typefaces never could.

Sound Engineering

Audio production and sound engineering work. This includes recording, mixing, and producing audio content – skills I developed alongside my advertising work and continue to use when projects require it. I had particular fun editing the sound of my own music album, which I lent the vocals to, too.

Beyond the Portfolio

There’s more creative work that doesn’t fit here – personal explorations in carpentry, resin, concrete, paper cutting, and other materials. These aren’t commercial projects, but they’re part of how I think and make.
