The orange-stick ice creams of yore…

My favourite ice cream, even over plain vanilla, is the orange stick ice cream from my childhood. Which Baba and I used to run for every time we saw an ice cream man. Wanted to have some. Went to ice cream parlours, local shops, online, everywhere. Even tried a few. None cut it. They were either a weird new fancy shape, or they were “special orange with kiwi undertones” kind of “cool” stuff, or “the sticks are made of reusable PolysomethingileneVC” kind of things. So I decided to freeze damn water and synthetic orange flavour (yum) around sticks at home. Ya that did not happen. But I had managed to get a couple of unused sticks from somewhere for the purpose.

Given those, along with some ripped-up plywood thanks to my dog Goochy’s penchant to rip one piece of furniture per day, this is what I made with the darlingest, finest nails in the world.

Do you like it?
